Dr Derek Richards is an executive, consultant, professional, and business leader with 20+ years in digital healthcare development, commercialisation, and implementation.

As chief consultant at RED, Derek leads our team of experts in all areas of Digital Healthcare.

He was previously the Chief Science Officer at SilverCloud Health and, after the SilverCloud acquisition, the Head of Research at Amwell Corporation. He is a globally recognised leader in the science and practice of digital mental healthcare. At SilverCloud, he was a member of the founding executive team responsible for the company's strategic direction and the execution of SilverCloud’s commercial success.

SilverCloud gained tremendous commercial success across several countries (UK, Ireland, USA, Germany, Australia, South Africa, and South America) and also within multiple markets (Payer, Provider, Pharmaceutical, Employer self-insured plans, Government, Defence Departments, and National Healthcare Providers). This wealth of experience is now part of the RED Digital Health team for Suppliers of innovative products at all stages of market readiness and for Providers who want to innovate and implement digital solutions in their healthcare landscape.
